May

May could easily win the busiest month of the year award!
The weather is now beautiful and perfect for our family walks again. HK loves to be outside.

The first weekend of the month was Nick's graduation from Eastern IL University. We went over to Charleston for the day to attend his graduation and help celebrate!

Nate and I helped chaperon prom at my school, Calvary Academy, the weekend of Mother's Day. My good friend, Jessica, that I teach with at CA was the teacher in charge of prom. She asked if we would like to go to prom. It was a fun experience. It was my pleasure because I love my kids at CA! We went to after prom for awhile. It was at a place that was basically an arcade for big kids. It was a neat place.
Our good friends, Lee and Whitney, took HK on home with them Friday afternoon so we could go to prom. We slept in (sort of) Saturday morning and then headed home for Mother's Day. They were having a baby dedication service at church at FBC in Eldorado. We had been out of town every time that our church in Springfield had done the baby dedication service.
