Now that HK likes to move around so much it has become very difficult to
take pictures. We're trying to get a go
od shot of HK and the dress. It's one of Nana's picks
from Chocolate Soup...it's pink corduroy with gingerbrea
d m
en/houses and snow-topped tree appliqués on it. That's about the best shot we could get.
March is an exciting month because spring is around the corner and so is match day... the d
ay Nate finds out where we'll be going for residency.
Before that though is a girls getaway weekend in Evansville....

Kristin, Natalee, Tiffany, and myself met up in Evansville, IN for a ca
tch up/chill out girls weekend
away. We stayed all night, took HK to Chuck E.
Cheese, went shopping, and watched a movie at the motel. Mom and Dad met us in Evansville late in the afternoon to get HK so we
could do the rest of the evening baby free. It was a really fun time and hope we
do it again! HK also had quite a bit of fun for a 9 month old. She eventually pooped out in the stroller at the mall!

Hallie Kate sta
rted walking with
a la
undry bask
et at our babysitter's
house. So we brought one up from the laundry room so she could try it at home. Sure enough she would push it around to get where she wanted to go. However when she ran into something she would get so frustrated because she couldn't turn that she would start crying. Uh-oh...already a frustrated perfectionist. It's quite entertaining to watch her do this.

Match day came the week of St Patrick's day. Medical students all across the

nation would find out wh
ere they would be doing their residency. SIU had a luncheon at the Inn at 835. It is a Bed and Breakfast with a new
, very
nice reception/banquet room. I took half a day of from work and the next day, Friday. As soon as it was over we were heading to So IL for the weekend. The picture on the far left is HK with her
babysitter. The picture whe
re HK is trying o
ut the adult s

poon is HK and Whitney (Lee's wife...Lee i
s Nate's good friend).
Then there is Nate holding the envelope that t
e
lls where we head next...........as we had hoped
we're off to Evansville, IN. While we're home this weekend we'll also be going over to start looking for a place to live. Time is going to move fast now!

When the match ceremony/luncheon was over we headed south. We left HK in Eldorado and went over to look at places in Evansville on Friday. We decided to find a nice apartment for several reasons. Nate is going to be much busier this time around. When he is off we don't want him to be working on the house or yardwork. We want to be able to be together as a family. It's less space to clean. We

have a pool, fitness center, small playground, and pond in our backyard. We don't have to worry about sinking money into a house since we'll just have one income since I get to sta
y home. Also, we don't have to worry about selling in 3 years. So we found a place we liked that weekend and got our name on the waiting list. Then we celebrated Mom's birthday that weekend. Nana and Grampy gave HK some bunny ears since Easter is quickly approaching. Grampy and HK napping again. She's getting a cat nap in on Sunday afternoon before we hit the road. She also began pushing a babydoll stroller this weekend. At first she'd get going so fast she'd wipe out, but eventually she gained control. So now she can get around with a doll stroller instead of a laundry basket! This was also pretty entertaining to watch!
